The Tennessee Titans are missing plenty of key players for their Thursday Night Football clash against the Dallas Cowboys. Stars like Derrick Henry, Ryan Tannehill, and Taylor Lewan aren't on the field or on the sidelines for Tennessee, and this has contributed to their recent slump in form.
Amazon Prime Video, the broadcaster of the NFL's Thursday Night Football, highlighted the Titans' injury woes with a hilarious graphic. The image featured Tennessee's injured stars taped up in bandages, walking on crutches, and wearing a cast. But perhaps the hilarious illustration in the graphic belonged to offensive lineman Taylor Lewan, who was photoshopped onto a wheelchair. Titans injury list: Tennessee missing critical stars ahead of division title decider vs. Jaguars in Week 18
The Titans' inactive list for the game against the Cowboys features some of the team's most important players. Running back Derrick Henry, cornerback Kristian Fulton, defensive back Josh Thompson, safety Amani Hooker, linebacker Dylan Cole, offensive lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere, and defensive linemen Denico Autry and Jeffery Simmons were all ruled out before the game on Thursday night.
The Titans have also placed 16 players on IR this season. The list includes quarterback Ryan Tannehill, linebackers Bud Dupree and Zach Cunningham, offensive lineman Taylor Lewan, guard Nate Davis, center Ben Jones, and cornerback Terrance Mitchell. Injuries caught up with the Titans midway through the season, and they have now lost six games on the trot.
They can still make it to the playoffs if they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 18, but they'll have to do it without some of their best players. If they manage to beat the Jaguars and win the AFC South title, it's unlikely they'll venture deep into the playoffs due to their stars' injuries.
