Amanda Jane Daigle’s journey began in Lowell, Massachusetts, where she was born to loving parents John and Deborah (Krawczyk) Guthrie. She was not only a cherished daughter but also a beloved sister to her two brothers, Ryan and Christopher Guthrie. In 1998, Bishop Guertin recognized her academic achievements and awarded her a high school diploma.
Amanda’s pursuit of knowledge led her to Quinnipiac University, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Her thirst for education didn’t stop there; she continued her academic journey at Merrimack College, earning a master’s degree.
Amanda’s professional path eventually brought her to the Acton-Boxborough school system, where she passionately served as a fourth-grade teacher. Her previous experience at the Norman E. Day School in Westford Public Schools highlighted her dedication to shaping young minds. Amanda’s impact on her students was profound, characterized by her kind and composed demeanor and unwavering commitment to each child who graced her classroom.

At the moment of her departure, she was 43 years old.

Amanda was born in Lowell, MA, to John and Deborah (Krawczyk) Guthrie. She was not only their daughter but also a beacon of love and kindness.
In 2007, Amanda tied the knot with the love of her life, John Daigle. They recently celebrated their sixteenth wedding anniversary on August 11th. Their enduring commitment to each other embodied the vow “…in sickness and in health.” Their love was truly unparalleled.

Amanda’s greatest joy came from her three cherished children: Molly “Moll,” Chloe “Chlo-Chlo,” and Matthew “Matty.” Her dedication as a mother knew no bounds. She was always present, supporting and cheering for her children in every endeavor. Her inner and outer beauty lives on through them.
Amanda possessed a smile that could brighten any room, and her laughter was infectious. When Amanda laughed, it felt like the whole world was laughing with her.
Amanda had a deep love for the outdoors, whether it was skiing in New Hampshire with her family, enjoying sunny days by the ocean at their home in York Beach, or embarking on nature walks with John and the kids. Yoga and music were also close to her heart and provided solace during her valiant two-year battle.
In addition to her husband, parents, and children, Amanda is survived by her two brothers, Christopher Guthrie and Ryan Guthrie, along with Ryan’s wife, Christi, all of Dracut. She was adored by her mother and father-in-law, Charles and Louise Daigle of Dracut, and her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Nutile and her husband Alfred of Lowell, and Katherine Middlemiss and her husband Scott of Dracut. Amanda leaves behind eight nieces and nephews: Caroline, Samuel, Joseph, Lily, Mack, Michael, Jack, and Grace. Countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also hold her dear in their hearts.
Amanda was preceded in death by her lifelong best friend, Jamie Quealey Gumb.
