90s vibes are at an all-time high with Leo Sawikin's 'Row Me Away'

I was trying to go for a very visual type of song when I wrote this. I wanted to evoke a feeling of blasting away from earth or from our universe in search of something brand new and entirely different.

This was Leo’s mission statement when writing the grunge-influenced folk-rock track, ‘Row Me Away’. Taking cues from bands such as the Smashing Pumpkins as well as from renowned folk acts like Joni Mitchell, Sawikin’s songwriting has once again been proven to be stellar on this track. He conjures up emotions which are pretty universal in a tough time such as 2021, forming relatable lyrics which never seem to slide into despair and always keep looking forward, towards a future when the sun is shining once more.
